Game Developer MOONTON has announced that VOV Gaming, a Saudi Arabian company, will be the presenting partner for the upcoming fall split of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MENA (MPL MENA).
VOV Gaming, owned by the Savvy Games Group, will not only host the entire tournament at its venues but also provide marketing support for the 2023 Fall Split.
MPL MENA
MPL MENA serves as the official regional league for MOONTON’s mobile MOBA title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. In the upcoming Fall Split, eight regional teams will compete for a prize pool of $100,000 (~£79,200) and the chance to participate in the M5 World Championship, scheduled for late 2023 in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines.
Although MPL MENA was established only in the fall of 2021, it has faced challenges in terms of viewership during its initial seasons. According to data and analytics company Esports Charts, the tournament didn’t exceed 10,000 peak viewers during the Fall 2022 season.
The partnership with VOV Gaming aims to boost the league’s growth and attract a larger audience to its events. VOV Gaming is an esports and gaming company that focuses on creating gaming and esports venues, with several locations in the Middle East. The company has also formed partnerships with the Global Esports Federation and Premier League club Newcastle United.
