The Rise of Arena of Valor

Arena of Valor, recognized as Honor of Kings to its Chinese audience, holds an esteemed position within SEA and China’s esports landscape. In China, the game boasts its franchised esports league, the King Pro League, attracting prominent names such as Premier League football club Wolves and Chinese LPL franchise RNG.

Originally developed by TiMi Studio and published in 2016, Arena of Valor witnessed significant esports changes in 2022. As a result, the Arena of Valor Premier League became exclusively dedicated to SEA teams. Simultaneously, the Arena of Valor World Cup, the game’s major global tournament, was later rebranded to the Honor of Kings International Championship, aligning with the Honor of Kings branding.

Looking ahead, the Honor of Kings International Championship will feature both Arena of Valor and Honor of Kings teams competing for the impressive $10 million prize pool, promising an electrifying showdown later this year.
