Gamers First (G1), a North American esports organization, has unveiled plans for a new multi-purpose headquarters in Austin, Texas. The 25,500-square-foot facility in the East Congress district will house studios, training facilities, and event space.
Gamers First, founded by former NFL player Kenny Vaccaro, competes in games like Halo, Rocket League, and Trackmania. It’s also home to numerous content creators. This initiative is part of Vaccaro Enterprises, which recently acquired Evolve PCs, a US custom computer manufacturer, and Women’s Car Ball, a Rocket League esports league.
Innovative Esports Facility
The former warehouse will have a modular design to accommodate G1 and its associated companies. The layout can be adapted for different activations and events. For instance, G1’s South By Southwest activations will utilize movable office spaces.
While the cost remains undisclosed, the build-out is referred to as a ‘multi-million dollar‘ project. The headquarters will host Evolve PCs, Women’s Car Ball, and various media entities. Despite a previous report of payment issues, G1 has begun compensating teams and staff owed money for their involvement.
Beyond its main functions, the facility will feature an office space, player lounge, speakeasy, stage, podcast studio, team offices, and co-working areas. The project is set for completion before Q3 2024 and has already commenced construction, according to G1.
